• Blackjack or 21 is a popular card came of
chance. World wide it is the popularist casino gambling game. It is a game
played with one or more 52 card decks. Cards in the deck are 2 through 10 and
jack, queen, king, and ace. There is one each of these cards in each suit. There
are four suits, hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. The value of the cards are
as numbered with the jack, queen, and king worth 10 each. An ace is worth 1 or
11. The goal of this game is getting cards that add up to twenty one. You place
your bet before the dealer deals any cards. There might be a table limit where
you are playing. This limit can be for minimum and maximum bets. The dealer
deals two cards face up to each player and one card down and one card face up to
himself. The dealers cards are the house cards. This is the hand you are trying
to beat. The dealer will stand on 17 or above. A dealer must take a card on 16
or less. Some places play where dealer hits on a soft 17. You have the option to
take cards until you go over 21. You can stay at any point or card count. You
can split any two cards to play the equialent of two hands. You have the option
for insurance when dealer shows an ace. It is not a wise bet usually. If you
have 21 it will pay one and a half times your bet. If you are closer to 21 then
the dealer is you win. If it is a tie or push the player retains their bet.
