• Poker is another popular game of chance that
is played with cards. There are self proclaimed poker stars out there that think
they have an advantage. Being a poker pro takes money and luck. You can turn
luck in your favor if you know how to play but you still need the cards
eventually. There are many forms of poker. Some are named after states like
Texas and Oklahoma. There is two different ways to win in some poker games. You
can have the high hand or the low hand. High hands in poker advance from high
cards up to a royal flush. In order winning hands start with the highest card.
Next is a pair and then two pair. Three of a kind follows this. A straight then
a flush follows. A full house is hard to beat but four of a kind will do it. To
top it off is the straight flush and royal flush. Most poker hands are self
explanatory but some are not. A full house is a hand made of a pair and three of
a kind. A straight is a hand of five cards that are in a numerical sequence and
a flush is five cards that are all the same suit. Suits you will find also as soon as youre playing poker online games. Some poker games only use 3
cards and some upto 9 cards. To create your hand you only use your best 5 cards.
There are games where your cards come face down and other games where they come
face up. Draw poker is where you are dealt cards face down. You are able to draw
new cards to improve your hand. Stud is where you have cards dealt down, up or a
combination of the two. You use the cards you are dealt to make your best hand.
Games like Texas hold em are played with community cards. These cards are dealt
in the middle face up. Everybody playing can use these cards. There are antis or
blinds to start a poker game. After this, bets can be made after each dealt card.
The player with the highest hand wins the pot. If there is a tie the players
split the pot.
