Sport betting
• There are odds on almost every sporting
event in college and at the professional level. People bet on sports in casinos
and sports books. There is illegal gambling taking place across the world on
sporting events. Has this tainted the game. There has been players, coaches, and
referees arrested for fixing games. These people have tainted sporting events at
the college and professional level. How are odds set in a sporting event. It is
very difficult to set the starting odds or point spreads. It is a a science with
a little luck involved. After the original point spread or odds are set the
betting dictates if it goes up or down. When placing a sport bet you place money
on the team or individual you think will win. If you are given points or giving
points add that into your equation. If there are odds you can bet on who you
think will win. Odds betting is not even money. Money is based on the odds. 3 to
1 odds mean you pay 3 to get back 1, or vice versa. There are several other ways
to bet on a sporting event. You can bet over or under a total points number.
Sometimes you can bet on individual player performance. Horse racing is a sport
you can bet on to. This form of gambling is called paramutual betting. When
betting on horses you can bet to win, place , or show. In equivalent form it is
1st, 1st or 2nd, or 1st through 3rd place. This is probably the most exciting
form of gambling. Watching the horses is a rush.
